OUTREACH

The Outreach Ministry of GARP is excited about the opportunities, provided by the Holy Spirit, in leading us to equip members for discipleship while providing opportunities for members to be involved in local ministries that serve our community and that bring the Gospel to the unchurched in Greenwood.

Opportunities are available to plug into existing service ministries, as well as, current and potential new ministries to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As Christians we are making an impact for Christ within our Church community and in the Greenwood community Experiencing (providing), Exalting (serving), Extending (sharing) the gospel by meeting the needs of the Greenwood community.

Outreach ministries supported by the Greenwood ARP church include:

hurch include:

EXPERIENCING CHRIST

•  Welcoming the new housing development residents next door to the church provides an array of opportunities for sharing and discipleship.
Ways to minister to our new neighbors are currently being formulated along with training to help implement them.

•  Prayer ministry both social media and within church is essential in all that we do. We encourage all who are suffering whatever the cause or need to
ask and join us in praying for God’s divine and holy will to be done. Our church prayer list is published weekly, communicated immediately via
email when the need arises and will consist of a prayer card ministry in the near future.

•  The Sunday service is broadcast weekly on Facebook and YouTube for members to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with their friends and others.

EXTENDING CHRIST

•  Free aerobics class Wednesday at 9:00 AM available to the community at large.

•  Backpack Ministry that provides children at Rice Elementary school with food to eat over the weekend that may otherwise do without.

•  Young Life is provided with church office/gathering space and supported through their fund raising campaigns.

•  Two Christmas Families are chosen each year by Rice elementary school as needing assistance.

•  Child Evangelism Fellowship is housed in the church. Church members have the opportunity to be involved with the many activities offered by CEF
to include Good News Clubs, summer clubs, special clubs, and training, etc.

EXALTING CHRIST

  •

•  Greenwood United Ministries supported financially and potentially with volunteers and necessity items. Greater Greenwood United Ministry
addresses the needs of the “whole person”, offering assistance to keep individuals in their home with the lights on, and critical medical care that
will improve quantity and quality of life.

• The Pathway house ministry is mainly carried out by the church circles and small groups in the form of collecting food and personal necessity
items. The Pathway house helps homeless persons navigate a pathway to physical, financial and social stability while sharing with them the love
   of God.
